So, it was back to Liverpool for me for Vanessa & Callum's wedding day. I absolutely love heading back to the city where I spent my university days. Some things might have changed since I was last there but the people of Liverpool certainly haven't - always up for a good time! This wedding was going to be no different...
We started the day in the famous Anfield area of Liverpool at Vanessa's parents home for bridal preparations - the perfect spot as the ceremony was only taking place a few doors down at their local catholic church. A special but chilled morning of make up, hair and prosecco.
Vanessa and her bridal party certainly made an entrance with all of the neighbours lining the street to see her in her dress as she made the walk down to the church. All Saints church was a beautiful and sentimental backdrop for their emotional ceremony, which was concluded with an epic confetti throw and reuniting with their dog, Ardi - I especially loved this moment!
Traditions done and now, for the party ...
We headed for town in an inconspicuous double decker wedding bus full of "tinnies" and a wedding party ready for an afternoon and evening full of celebrations ... and surprises. Fredericks was the destination and if anyone knows the venue, then you would know that it was going to be a lively day...
After a few photos around some of Liverpools most famous streets we headed back to a bouncing Fredericks for the main surprise of the day - the singing waiters. These guys really know how to get a party started - we had swinging napkins, a huge conga (love train) and even a dance performance from Callum and his groomsmen. Definitely not a traditional way to start off your wedding breakfast.
Vanessa & Callum's guests started how they meant to go on - with the party! After food, guests caught up over cocktails with a few Tequila Rose shot trays being passed around. This lead nicely into the Taylor Swift section of the evening, where guests had absolutely no choice but to get into the party spirit! How could anyone resist?!
